The Eighth Route Army Baodugu Memorial Park of the Chinese People’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression (1931-45) is located at the foot of the Baodugu National Forest Park in Zaozhuang, Shandong province. Since its completion in 2014, it has served as a spiritual symbol honoring the heroic deeds of war martyrs and embodying the Chinese nation’s spirit of resistance.

The park is mainly divided into three core areas. The Exhibition Area consists of seven historical exhibition galleries — the Memorial Hall of the 115th Division of the Eighth Route Army, the Political Department of the 115th Division, the Headquarters of the 115th Division, the Wang Lushui Memorial Hall, the Southern Shandong District Committee, the Southern Shandong Administrative Office, and the Southern Shandong Military Region. Additionally, it features a number of functional venues, including the Baodugu Theater Troupe, the Eighth Route Army Night School, and the Eighth Route Army Canteen, showcasing the heroic resistance efforts of the military and civilians in southern Shandong province during the war of resistance against Japanese aggression.

The Education Area features the Baodugu Memorial Monument honoring the wartime revolutionary base during the war of resistance against Japanese aggression, standing 19.39 meters tall—symbolizing the 115th Division’s arrival in the Baodugu mountainous region in September 1939.

The Experiential Training Area includes a training ground modeled after those used by the Eighth Route Army, serving as an interactive site for hands-on learning activities, such as fighting in trenches and throwing grenades and simulations of civilians supporting the army, to immerse visitors in the reality of revolutionary struggle.
